SCHOOL DISTRICT

Located west of San Antonio, Medina Valley ISD covers close to 300 square miles. The District has approximately 9,500 students with nine campuses: six elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. Over the past several years, Medina Valley has consistently seen growth in student enrollment with an increase of 10% – 15% new student enrollment every year. While being a fast-growth school district, MVISD maintains a strong sense of pride, tradition and community support. The prominent ISD and staff are passionate and dedicated to providing the best education possible for students at MVISD.

Ladera Elementary School

Ladera Elementary School promises to nurture proactive, lifelong learners, promote growth through personal accountability and synergetic problem-solving while in a safe, supportive learning environment. The learning community of Ladera Elementary School cultivates a culture of leaders who love, trust and empower all student to discover their individual version of success!

Loma Alta Middle School

Loma Alta Middle School is a public school in the Medina Valley ISD near San Antonio, Texas, serving grades 6-8, known for strong support for military families and an A accountability rating, offering a focused environment with counselors and social workers for student well-being alongside academic programs. The school emphasizes community and support, with initiatives for military-connected students.

The students and staff of MVHS strive to display a Culture of Excellence which is modeled through attention to Character, Achievement in all areas, and development of Community. As an ERP Honor Roll and US News and World Report Best High Schools campus, we take pride in the accomplishments of our students in the classroom and in a wide variety of extracurricular events.
